About the Paintings – For the past sixty-six years since Babasaheb Dr. B. R. Ambedkar ji has left us physically, there is nothing done to restore or recreate his old and damaged images. This initiative is the dawn of recreating him in an artistic style. Though it’s a challenge as people have a fixed perception to see him through a single image, but also it’s a beginning of new visual grammar, which is stronger than the literary word, and has the ability to give a new shift to the thinking and passion. These paintings are made in an impressionist style, with lots of layers of paint, and have the ability to last for centuries. Painting is an artistic work and its real experience can be felt by the real view and not photos, so please don’t compare them too much with the real photos or the photo of the paintings. This is an artistic work out of love and respect for Babasaheb ji, so please don’t make any negative or discouraging statements.

And each time I see him like meeting him in person the next day. This is a challenging but a spiritual work, as I’m with him through his thinking for the past eleven years and these paintings are perhaps a way to communicate with him.’
